New rivalries will commence and old ones will intensify this season in District 9-4A. That much is certain. Not much else is. For the first time, all four Frisco ISD schools will compete alongside and against one another in a district that is up for grabs to the highest bidder.

The Celina football team will win its fifth consecutive district title. At least that is what District 9-3A?s respective coaches forecast for 2008 after turning in their preseason predictions last week at the annual coaching school put on by the Texas High School Coaches Association in San Antonio.

The Little Elm football team will miss out on the postseason for the third consecutive season.

The Colony football team will miss out on the postseason for the sixth consecutive season.
